That’s one of the most common questions, why are Facebook ads in review I hear from people running their first Facebook ad campaign.
In this article, I’ll cover why you might have to wait up to 24 hours to have your Facebook ads approved, sometimes ads approve within 30 minutes
What Happens When Facebook ads in review for 24 hours
If your Facebook ad is in review for 24 hours, it means that it may have been disapproved because of a violation.
Disapprovals are classified as the following: spam, adult content, offensive or violent content, or showing third-party ads. You can follow the link in the notification to revise and resubmit your ad for consideration.
This does not mean that your campaign has been stopped–it just means you need to fix one of these issues before you submit again. But sometimes Facebook ads in review stay for more than 24 hours.
For the last three years I have been publishing Facebook ads but never get a single ad rejected. Because I have read and understand the advertising policy of Facebook ads. you have to learn Facebook ads from an authentic source.
Why Does Facebook Reject ads after review?
The truth is, this is not an error that the user can fix. When you submit your ad to Facebook for review.
they will take some time to make sure it meets all of their requirements and then either approve or disapprove the campaign. This process does not happen immediately. It takes time at least 30 minutes.
In case your Facebook ads get rejected at the same time you still have a chance to go and appeal for review. Because the Facebook ads in the review are not checked by humans. Facebook ads in review are checked by bots.
Facebook ads in review time
The time it takes for your Facebook ads to be approved varies, but can take up to 24 hours. It also depends on the type of advertising you are trying to run.
The general consensus is that any ad will go through review and should be if it contains adult content, promotes violence or the sale of illegal goods and services, is spammy in nature, or creates a security risk by impersonating other users.
If your campaign does not fall into these categories, then it may just be waiting to go live because it needs human approval first.
Why are my Facebook ads still in Review?
I recently submitted a couple of ads for review and for the past few days they’ve been in review.
I’m not sure what’s going on with them, but I submitted them a few days ago so hopefully, it just means they need to be approved by someone else before they can go live. Either way, at least my ads will be live once they come out of review!
The following day (or whatever is appropriate), I still had no idea why my Facebook ads were still in review so I contacted support.
They told me that it may take 24 hours because each ad needs to go through an approval process. They didn’t give me any more information than that though which was really frustrating.
Thankfully after two more days of waiting, my Facebook ads were finally approved and published!
How long Facebook ad in review could stay
Typically Facebook ads stay in review for 24 hours and sometimes can take longer than 24 hours. Facebook ads in review may mean that the content on your page is not compliant with Facebook’s advertising policies, or that you didn’t verify your account.
Keep in mind that Facebook doesn’t release detailed information about why an ad was disapproved but it is not uncommon for people to find themselves waiting for 24 hours or more before their ads are approved.
